Signals that the US and Iran were converging toward a deal to end their conflict will keep the global spotlight on oil prices. Additionally, the Fed will decide on its policy rate at Chairman Warsh’s first meeting. On the monetary policy front, the BoE, BoJ, RBA and SNB will also announce rate decisions. Germany will release sentiment indicators, while Japan will publish inflation data and machinery orders. In the US, retail sales, trade data, and industrial production will shape the economic calendar. Meanwhile, the UK will release inflation, retail sales, and labor market data. China’s monthly data-heavy week will feature industrial production, retail sales, unemployment, house prices, and fixed-asset investment.
